  1. But you can do that with the built-in reports, so....
  2. My point about the CAS is unless you have over 100 000 PC there is very few reasons to have a CAS and multiple primary servers. Having a CAS seriously complicates your environment and should not be taken lightly. If you really feel that you need a CAS then I recommend doing a full analyses of you environment and understand the full ramification of using a CAS. This generally means hiring a very senior consultant with experience with CAS and SQL replication.
  3. So I'm still not following you, Why would a Tech need to know which DP a CM12 client download the content from? When he find out which DP the content came from then what is he going to do with that info?
  4. What are you trying to do? Why do you care which DPs client connect too?
  5. which DP a client is using is not stored within the CM12 database.
  6. Have you seen this. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/281888
  7. The issue is going to be with your sms_def.mof, you will be able to see this by following the either video. Make sure that you connect to root\cimv2 then find your printer class. Remote PC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nPxjzhZbVM Local PC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9UqSSQ3kBE If you see data within WMI (wbemtest) then force a full inventory using sccm client center.
  8. Why have a CAS at all? CAS are meant for those with more than 100 000 PCs. How many PCs do you have?
  9. The simples way to do this is to create another collection and exclude those PCs. Are we talking CM07 or CM12?
  10. Then it means there is no data in the Reg keys. Confirm that there is data within the reg keys.
  11. Just to be clean. The workstation status data and time has not updated? I'm not interested in the printer stuff yet.
  12. So has your Resource Explorer not updated with a new data and time?
  13. use this blog post to troubleshot the issue. http://be.enhansoft.com/post/2013/07/25/Troubleshooting-Inventory-Flow.aspx
  14. There is no need to compile the configuration.mof on the clients, it will happened automatically. The SQL views will be called something like v_GS_PrinterInv and v_GS_PrinterInv64
  15. SSRS does NOT support being installed on a SQL cluster.
  16. Look at the Client Installation Properties within the docs to see if there is a command lien switch for this. How can you auto-install the CM client when the PC is deep freeze?
  17. @tmccomb45 There is a lot more to it than the blog post that you posted. It is complete not supported to rename the domain/forest that CM lives in. You will need to completely re-build the site.
  18. You can do this as a report just not within the console. So.... Personally I deploy everything to everyone. Feel free to submit the idea to the Microsoft connect site. Make sure that you post a link back here so that other can vote it up.
  19. I have no idea how many kbps it is , I’m sure that you search Bing for the answer but… If you can get 50-70% of the network during business hours it means that that line is almost not used at all. Are you sure that you can get that much of the line during business hours? I would think that you would be lucky to get 10% during business hours.
  20. No you can't do this within CM12 either.
  21. Sorry there is not way to do what you want to do. You will have to do it manually like you have suggested.
  22. Wouldn't it be easier to just review the built-in Software Update reports on a daily bases and action those?
  23. There is no easy answer to this. On the 1M line, how much room is there? How much will the network team allow you to take? Are you using Windows 7? Have you look at branchcache?
  24. Just so that I'm clean you are scanning for SU every 5 minutes?
