SCCM 2016 install Prerequisite Failure
By jmhill,
Hi,
I am installing SCCM 2016 as a standalone server (Windows Server 2016), with the SQL database hosted on a different server (Windows Server 2012R2, SQL 2016). I know this is not the recommended setup, but currently it is our only option. The SQL server also hosts various things as SharePoint/Project, Jira/Fisheye, EventSentry, App-V 5 etc.
I've gotten past all the other prerequisites except "SQL Server Tcp Port - Configuration Manager primary site and central administration site req

Running SCCM 16xx in the cloud?
By Vini,
I currently administer a single, on-premise, MP with ~60 local DPs spread globally. We have around 7500 devices and 4000 users.
At present the MP, SQL and foundations all live in the UK, and this is causing a bit of grief for our APAC sites, when pulling down TS policies for OSD etc...
We're needing/wanting to spin up a 16xx instance of SCCM anyway, but have been wondering if/how feasible a Cloud Based MP and feature rich site system server would be if based in Azure for example.
Beware: KB4010155 Update rollup for System Center Configuration Manager current branch, version 1610 I
By surfincow,
Just a heads up if you've not installed this hotfix. Its causing some issues where Software Center fails to load. Issue appears to be the client stuck in provisioning mode and its a known bug with Microsoft. So far after talking to support there's no information on when this patch will be patched so beware

How long are your imaging times?
By h4x0r,
Good day everyone,
Let me provide some background...I work for a school district, and we use CM for imaging, software deployment, endpoint security, reporting, etc...fairly standard in my book. In a recent session with some other districts, another tech mentioned that they were able to image a workstation in 4 minutes using their FOG server (FOG is a free imaging tool, runs on Linux...look it up if you are curious).
Now, there are a lot of factors that could come into play there...net
HTTPS to HTTP issues
By jtelling,
Running into an issue that I cannot wrap my head around. We recently switched from HTTPS to HTTP and now clients will not talk to remote MPs or DPs on Secondary Sites. Talking back to MP on Stand Alone Primary works fine. I have revoked certs from CA and removed certs from servers but all of my Secondary sites are having issues with MPs and DPs (no PXE Boot Filename Received). Also removed Secondary Site, WDS, WSUS, all prereqs and reinstalled. Tried PXE booting to WDS + MDT 2013 and that works,
Service plans look strange
By P3nnyw1se,
as you can see on this Picture.
my CB is telling me 1511 upgrades are available
and my CBB is telling me 1607 are.
can someone explain to me why that is? cause in my head it should be the other way around.
