Screen Flashes after Setup Windows and ConfigMgr step

    DMoney
    By DMoney,
Recently, I've started to see all my windows 10 images have issues. My task sequence is very simple, and it seems to lay the image down just fine, apply drivers, etc. but after it does the setup windows and configmgr, the screen begins to flash and then stays at that point. Initially I thought this was driver issue as I had just loaded drivers for a DELL Latitude E7270, but then I tried with another machine, and it happens on that as well. So hardware platform doesn't matter. I also thought mayb

Side by Side Upgrade Without Migration

    Sanchez
    By Sanchez,
Hi. I am the sole SCCM administrator for a small company. The current site is running Config Manager 2012 R2, on a Windows Server 2008 R2 VM. It's a simple hierarchy, consisting of one primary site, all managed from a single server, and 3 distribution points. SQL is hosted on a separate cluster. This was all set up long before I joined the company. Now that I'm wishing to upgrade to current branch, I've also decided to put it on a new Windows Server 2016 VM. I could do a side-by-side m

    Uninstall dependencies, how?!

    PHGustavsson
    By PHGustavsson,
SCCM 1610 with all hotfixes. Windows 10 Enterprise 1607. I have an application that have two dependencies. It's setup so that both dependencies are installed before the application itself. Both of them are .msi files and both are recognized by SCCM with MSI Product Codes. The installation part is working fine. But they are not uninstalled if I uninstall the main application (using the old control panel and/or Win 10 Settings / Apps). The uninstall button is greyed out in Software

(1610) Clients showing up as compliant but patches aren't installed

    shsysadm
    By shsysadm,
Many of my clients are showing compliant status when I'm trying to deploy Windows updates, both for Win 10 1607 and 1511 clients. Attempting to deploy KB4013429 it appears to be compliant on the machines but if I manually go to "check for windows updates" the very same patch starts downloading from microsoft. At first the machines present me with: Failed to attach update to the automation wrapper, error = 0x87d00215    UpdatesDeploymentAgent    3/18/2017 12:57:22 PM    2440 (0x098

The script to create device collections based on AD OUs

    Maestro
    By Maestro,
Hello everyone! Some years ago I was looking for a script to create collections in SCCM based on AD OUs. I've found some of them, but they seemed a bit complex and incomprehensible to me. So I've wrote my own rather simple script, added a few options that I think would be in hand for SCCM admin and added a lot of comments to make the script easy to understand and modify. So I present it to your judge. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated. <# Crafted by Maestro, 17/0

    SCCM 2016 install Prerequisite Failure

    jmhill
    By jmhill,
Hi, I am installing SCCM 2016 as a standalone server (Windows Server 2016), with the SQL database hosted on a different server (Windows Server 2012R2, SQL 2016). I know this is not the recommended setup, but currently it is our only option. The SQL server also hosts various things as SharePoint/Project, Jira/Fisheye, EventSentry, App-V 5 etc. I've gotten past all the other prerequisites except "SQL Server Tcp Port - Configuration Manager primary site and central administration site req
