Deploy Update 1607 to machine with encryption enabled
By michael.lescano,
Hi
Has anyone had any success in deploying Windows 10 Update 1607 to a Windows 10 machine with 1511 and encryption enabled (in our environment we run Check Point Full Disk Encryption). After the update "installs", the machine boots up and before even showing the Windows splash page, it gets a blue screen with the error 0xc000000f which indicates boot selection failed.
The only information i can find from Check Point with regards to Windows 10 updates is from the webpage regarding In-Pla

C:\_SMSTaskSequence Left Over after OSD
By Kops,
I've started to notice that after an OSD completes, there is a folder C:\_SMSTaskSequence that is left over, containing packages that were applied during OSD, totaling anywhere from 5-10gb.
I started with the SMSTS.log file and found a few errors right near the end of the TS.
The 0x87D01012 errors lead me to a few articles about using the "Retry" option in the Install Software Updates task. I've enabled the retry and set it to retry 5 times, but the _SMSTaskSequence folder still exi
External machines should be getting updates from microsoft but don't
By NobleComputing,
If I take a machine from the office to home, the Configuration Manager does show Internet. We have a management point on the DMZ that the machine connects to get a list of updates. It looks like the workstation is making communication with that server based on the logs. What is not happening is the actual successful download of the patches and the installation of them.
I read that the internet client should go to Microsoft updates first and then to a dp? We do not have a dp setup for th
MP Rejecting Policy Request from Client - Marked as Blocked
By jka816,
I'm having the following warning popup over and over in the SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER component:
MP has rejected policy request from Client(SMSID = GUID:B1C18985-608A-4CD6-B25F-2D7ADADFD444) because this SMSID is marked as blocked.
The issue is I cannot find a client with that GUID and I'm not blocking any clients within SCCM.
I did a Powershell query for that SMSID as well as blocked devices.
Get-CMDevice | Where-Object { $_.IsBlocked -eq $true}
Get-CMDevice | Where-Object { $_.SMSID -eq 'GU
Sccm/Wsus Windows 10 servicing - 1607 deployment
By bookert2003,
Hello, I have some difficulty deploying the windows 10 anniversary update (1607) to my clients via SCCM. I have installed KB3159706 and followed the post installation steps from: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3159706 But when I deploy the upgrade via SCCM servicing the clients get this error message: [AGENT_INSTALLING_FAILED] 101 {C9FA8069-097F-468B-A8AA-D35D74ED9E11} 201 8024200d CcmExec Failure Content Install Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update
