  1. Correct, Out of the box, you MUST use CMCB to deploy SU in order to get a list of SU in CMCB. if you are using WSUS them you MUST use WSUS reporting to get that list.
  2. There is no known issue like that, that I know of in 1511. Exactly what question did you ask them. If you are NOT using CM fro SU then it will not report on them in CM. There are no if and or but about it.
  3. You will need two separate WSUS instances. Why not use Task Sequence (with MDT enable) and CM to deploy you images?
  4. Why not use the WSUS reports then? If you are not using CM for SU then it is hard to report on them.
  5. Without out your mof edits there isn't much anyone can do to help. So post them. Keep in mind that many of us will be out at Mmsmoa.com next week. so expect delayed replies. my flight leaves at 6 am tomorrow. :-) :-(
  6. First what do you mean does deploy? Personally, I would bother with this, instead, I would create a custom inventory item and inventory that. Regkeytomof is the most popular one for that. https://www.enhansoft.com/blog/how-to-use-regkeytomof
  7. Have you looked at the Docs? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sccm/core/servers/manage/checklist-for-installing-update-1702
  8. First off this is not easy to do in the console. Secondly why would you do it in the console?
  9. Unless you have over 150,000 computer don't add a CAS. If you do, don't install either SQL or CM on the C:\, it is never recommend to do that.
  10. What wrong with the built-in reports for this?
  11. What is wrong with these? Did you add the OS as a criteria?
  12. These two blog will help track down the problem. https://www.enhansoft.com/blog/resultant-client-settings https://www.enhansoft.com/blog/updated-troubleshoot-configmgr-hardware-inventory-issues Keep in mind that it is important that you forced a full HW inventory. If you have not followed one of the blogs that I previously post. then go back and do that first.
  13. You should force a full HW inventory to occur. If this doesn't solve the problem then it is a policy issue. https://www.enhansoft.com/?s=Force+Full+inventory
  14. If the client's are not showing data in CM hen the client is clearly not healthy. Have you confirm that Hardware inventory is in fact up to date in resource explorer?
  15. The report will only show you what it in the database, it the results are not good with the default reports, then a custom report will not help either. You need to figure out why things are not working correctly. Start by picking one client and confirming that it is healthy and data is flowing between it and CM12.
  16. In general, it will have no effect on things, as the primary site will send the same content as the DP. Keep in mind that DP now have sender addresses and therefore can be throttled. IMO, if you network guys are concerned then they should setup QOS between the Primary site and each DP.
  17. The docs say 4000 client per DP. However that number can increase or decrease depending of what type of hardware is used for the DP.
  18. If that report is not giving you good detail then nothing will. You need to troubleshoot why. IS the CM client install on all 500 computers? Is the CM client healthy on all 500 computers?
  19. Sorry wrong blog post. https://www.enhansoft.com/blog/how-to-perform-a-basic-software-audit BTW, I'm updating this blog post as we speak. It will go live in a month or so..
  20. Did you know that there is over 122 Row of ARP data per computer? Did you know that is about 2 page of text? Did you know that 100 computers will mean over 200 pages? Read this blog post. https://www.enhansoft.com/blog/how-to-perform-a-software-update-audit
  21. Unless you have 150,000 computer stay away from a CAS. If you only have 4 DPs there is no way you need a CAS, a single primary site will do the trick. Why as 4 DPs will handle 16,000 computers. Keep in really simple one primary with 4 DPs, you are done.
  22. What is wrong with the built-in reports for this? Have you tried to edit them to give you exactly what you want?
  23. What is wrong with the built-in reports for this?
  24. Honestly unless you have 150,000 computers, you shouldn't be creating a CAS. Also, you should be install CMCB and not CM12 as it is already old.
  25. If your CM12 admin can see the PC within minutes, it mean that delta updates for the collection that you are limited to seeing computer for has not been enabled. Ask them to enable delta updates to the collection.
