  1. Dear Peter, Thanks for your quick response , This variable is new to me , I searched on this variable but i didnt get the Idea , would you please tell me how to use this variable in my case ? And I use this variable when I'm creating the .iss file , or when I'm Distributing it through SCCM ?
  2. Dears, i'm Distributing a Software that should point to a file using the FULL path , relative path Won't work , so when I install the Software Manually using the CMD it is "setup.exe /s /f1"%cd%\setup.iss" and it works Great , but when I use the same sytnax with the SCCM the %cd% doesnt work. There is anyway so that I can point to this file using the FULL path from the SCCM. Hint:Solution of running from Distribution point is not applicable in my case as the Software Package Size is large regards,
  3. Dear Garth, this topic doesn't apply to SCCM 2012 , Also the Number of programs that appear to me are not too much , I made a Query using Add/Remove programs - Product ID and I got nearly 2000 results value , so i dont guess the problem is due to limitation in values list regards,
  4. Dears, I have a Strange problem , I have computers that have a program called "Softvue For projectwise" Installed , I can Search for the program in the resource explorer in add/remove programs as shown in the pic1 now i want to make a Query to search on the Computers that have this program installed , when i make a Query Statement "Add/remove programs - Display Name" and press the values button , I only Get results till the Programs Starting with "M" Letter as shown in Pic2 , so my program doesnt appear in the Result Values , So what I can do in this case to let all the Programs in the Add/remove programs Appear ? Thanks, Amr Mahdy

THe commandline install for the app is setup.exe /s /f1"<full absolute path to setup.iss file". PLease note Full path to iss file needs to be given here and will not work with any relative path. the setup.exe , source files and setup.iss file are in the same source location How do i give the commandline when i create a new program for this package in SCCM. I cannot give the UNC path or local path
  6. you mean that I cannot Deploy the Package itself and I should Deploy the program within the Package ?
  7. Dears, If I'm having a Package with Multiple programs , and I Deploy the Package on a certain Collection. supposed that all the programs will be installed , but I want to know if it is installed in specific order or Randomly ?
  8. Dears, I have a Software of an unknown Publisher that has setup.exe file , Does anyone know an application to repackage my Software so that I can get the setup.msi file ? I tried a lot of tools but they were not reliable at all. regards,
  9. You Have 2 Options 1-Make a Query Based on "Add Remove/Programs" Criteria and then write the name of the program or 2-S/W Inventory and adding the actual program name in program files , this will scan the hard disk for mentioned PCs in the Device collection for the program name that u mentioned
  10. On the New Server: First:Create Boundaries and Boundary Group and Enable Auto Assignment to your Site1. Second:Run Discovery methods Third:Enable Client Push Installation to Ensure that all clients has the Agent Installed , for clients who r installed it'll just make a repair for the client After you finish Above steps Disable auto Site assignment for the Old Server and then remove it from your network
  11. Did you update Distribution point with the Task Sequence u created ?
  12. Dear Admin, Your Document is Really Amazing , But I have Simple Q , The Interface of the SCCM Console of yours looks different than the Default Console , How Did you Get this Interface , Is there any Skins Could be Applied ?
  13. Create Application or Package then Deploy it on a Collection (Device , or User)
  14. First Create a new site with a different Name than the Old Site. Second Create Your Boundaries and Boundary Groups (BUT DONNOT MAKE AUTOSITE ASSIGNMENT) to Avoid Site Overlapping. Third Run your Discovery Methods Fourth start Migration Fifth Start Client Push Installation on certain collections sixth After you finish client installation you can enable the Auto Site Assignment of Boundary Groups
  15. The Account that Pushes Client Installation should be Local Administrator on the Client Machines , Also check the Administrative shares and Firewall Ports
  16. Check the "Delete Inactive Client Discovery Data" from maintenance Task
  17. Thanks Peter for correcting my Information
  18. You can start Migrating to SCCM 2012 , I installed it from 5 months ago and everything is going fine till now , but remember if you'll use SCCM 2012 SP1 you should take in your considerations that it doesn't support windows xp
  19. Check The Network Access Account that Pushes Client Installation
  20. You should re run the Discovery that you made and it will get them to you Immediately
