  1. I am attempting to image a VM by PXE through VSphere. I can successfully PXE boot, but during the "loading files: boot.sdi" it is extremely slow. Then when it attempts to load the WIM, it just sits there. Any thoughts?
  2. Everyone, I have an SCCM Server that is currently running in VMware, but we're moving all our environment over to Hyper-V. We have moved everything over by using the Microsoft Virtual Machine Converter Tool, and so far have had 0 issues. It scares me to mess with my SCCM server, but we're going to have to get it over to Hyper-V one way or another. My question to you all, do we convert and move or back-up and rebuild? My environment is very basic. Single site, and one server (the one being moved) that houses all roles (site server/database/reporting/management point/etc). This i
  3. Hi all, I have my own lab in running on my Macbook Pro (mid 2015). I'm using vmware Fusion 8 pro and almost everything works fine. When I try to run a task sequence to build and capture it fails when the step is "capture" because the network driver is not loaded. Actually I added two network drivers to my boot image: from vmware and intel 82574L (which is the one that is not loading). Nevertheless, the computer restart and start loading the boot image to capture the windows, but fails immediately and I'm out of options. Does any one had this issue before? The driver is not digita
  4. Hi, We have had serious issues with deploying app-v applications to our VDI machines. Most of these have been solved by updating to the recent SP2 for SCCM (R2 SP1) and App-V 5 SP3, and some other minor tweaks. However it still takes to much time for all applications to be available. Our environment consists of: SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 Horizon View 5.3 Windows 7 x64 VDI clients App-V 5.0 SP3 When a user logs on to a vdi, it takes about 1-1,5 minute after the desktop is available before SCCM starts deploying user/group assigned applications. This is about a minute too long, but usab
  5. Hi My first post, and I have to say, I should visit the site more often for many reasons! Anyweb - Its been a while, you may remember me from Clan -DwD-, WasTed here! and prior to that HTAS! Anyway nice site plenty of good stuff going on here. My issue is this, I have a number of users connecting to virtual PC's from site G, this is over a BT Etherlink! The response time from this site is 180ms, but for the most part RDP to the machines is fine and usable. Connecting to site D for the Virtual PC's that connect to a SQL database at Site F, either Via a Web application Server hosted fro
  6. I am in the early stages of an enterprise wide SCCM 2007 roll out. I can't use ConfigMgr 2012 as we do not have Server 2008 in our Production environment at this stage and it's not likely to happen in the medium term. I have multiple AD domains spread all over the county, a lot with sporadic and limited external connectivity owing to how they are deployed. It looks like I'll be having to create around 50 SCCM 2007 servers in the short term with perhaps another 40 to follow. Noting the geographical dispersion of the AD domains and their at times limited/poor accessability I want to hav
  7. I was wondering if anyone else is using a VMware environment for SCCM 2012. I have setup my Primary site server but I was wondering about my DP's should they be VM's as well or should they be physical? Thanks, Jason

  9. Guys will try to be as concise as possible. For the last three days I have been trying to get the server install guide to work be each and every time I can't even get past the DC\DNS setup as all I get are errors. I have print screens of the errors that will follow below. If anyone has seen this please help me as I need to get SCCM 2007 running to get familar for my job and at the moment I can't even get Server 2008 R2 to work other than run as an OS that has IE abilities! Thanks, Randy
  10. I’m definitely a NOOB, so please bear with me. I've inherited a SCCM 2007 R2 server which had two previous administrators and has already been through an upgrade from SMS to SCCM 2007. It is currently on a 1003 R2 server and is quite cluttered. I’m looking for an easy (yeah, I know this won’t be easy) way to build a new 2007R2 SCCM server onto a 2008R2 platform (preferably in VM). We currently are an agency acting as a child node from the Main Office of Administration. We also have a mix of Windows XP and Windows 7 machines (going through the migration process on those as well). We ar
