  1. Yeah, I figured you HAD deployed it. Was curious as to what settings you chose Edit: You deployed it to the All Users collection and then people install it from the App Catalog?
  2. I'm not sure. Can't remember if there's a Export option for TS in MDT. Have you tried? What happened?
  3. I'm sorry if anyone gets offended by this, but that's retarded.
  4. I don't have an answer to your question, just a suggestion. Why not schedule the updates to install at night or at the weekends if you have a service window?
  5. Did a workaround by creating one UDIWizard.xml file for every image I want to deploy, and locked the image in the designer. Then created one TS each for those xml files.
  6. Doesn't seem to matter what image I choose in the UDI. it still picks the image specified when I created the UDI task sequence. I thought the UDI was supposed to take precedence over what image is chosen when you create the TS. It's quite annoying. Anybody know how to fix this?
  7. Wondering this myself. Doesn't seem to matter what image I choose, it still picks the image specified when I created the UDI task sequence. It's quite annoying. Anybody know how to fix this?
  8. *PROBLEM SOLVED* Like 2 months ago I accidentally installed the ConfigMgr client on my server. I uninstalled it but it still looked in the console as the server had the client. I double checked then, and it looked fine. Now it seemed like the server had tried to remediate the client (think I forgot to remove the ccmsetup and ccm folders from the C drive back in the days). But the remediation failed and somehow messed things up with the MP. Yesterday I noticed that the MP always stopped working at the same time every night. That's when I noticed the server actually had a half-installed client. Checked in Task Scheduler and saw that the task for ccmeval last ran the same time my MP went down. Ran ccmclean and removed entries from the registry as well as the ccmsetup folder. Checked Task Scheduler again to make sure ccmeval wasn't there. Server and MP looks fine as of this morning
  9. After a reboot of the server, mpcontrol.log says this: SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER received STOP notification. 10. Hey, thanks for the tip. When I opened SQL CM I got this error message: Ran this command in an elevated cmd: mofcomp.exe "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof" After that I could start SQL CM. Checked, and TCP/IP is Enabled. Restarted the SMS service also. Didn't solve my problem though. I forgot to mention that I've experimented with my configuration.mof and sms_def.mof files. Added one class for Hardware Inventory. Could that have messed things up?
  11. *PROBLEM SOLVED, CHECK MY LAST POST* Hey, Perhaps someone could help me with this. My Management Point is freaking out. Everything has been working fine up until a few days ago. Started getting the following error: "MP Control Manager detected management point is not responding to HTTP requests. The HTTP status code and text is 500, Internal Server Error." I set up a new web service (Maik Koster's) like a week ago, which has been working. A few days go by and suddenly my clients didn't receive a policy when doing OSD. Saw MP was critical. Can't really find any information about this when it comes to SCCM 2012, only 2007. Don't think it's IIS. I can access it via IE and run, for instance, GetCollectionMembers. So that leaves the MP to have some issues with SQL? Haven't touched that since installing the server. Should add that I removed the MP role yesterday, rebooted the server, and then installed it again. That made it work until midnight. At least it was all green in Site Status and Component Status. Any tips?
  12. Yeah, it seems like web services in of themselves shouldn't differ a whole lot Whenever you have time. Really appreciate it.
  13. Thanks for the info! Are admins/MVPs running SCCM 2012 just not using web services? Can't seem to find any information about this on the internet when it comes to 2012. Plenty of info for 2007 but that doesn't really help in this case. I would really appreciate if you could paste the code from your customizations, if that would be alright?
  14. Have some issues with Maik's web service as well. OSDComputerName is not carried through the rest of the TS and is not applied. I'm using his PrettyGoodFrontendClone. Also, if the computer is unknown to SCCM and then added to an OSD collection, it waits for all 25 tries under the HasOSAdvertisement step outlined in the CustomSettings.ini file. After a few minutes it shows up in the correct collection when I look in the console. But it obviously takes too long. We use this exact web service and frontend in our current SCCM 2007 production environment. But in the 2012 lab environment it just won't work. Any ideas?
  15. Sorry, I must've misunderstood completely. Ok, what about importing the MSI product code instead of using Start in?
  16. Have you set up boundaries and boundary groups and made sure you've added your server in the Content location box?
  17. Why do you need the Start in at all, if the app installs correctly when you remove it?
  18. In my case it wasn't my TS that was the problem, it was my virtual machines. Somehow all of them seems to have gotten corrupt. Tried my TS on a physical computer and that worked like a charm. Created a new VM and the TS worked fine on that also. Don't know how your lab is set up, but maybe worth trying your TS on another machine, if you haven't already.
  19. Well, it's obviously something with the NIC drivers, like you said. Don't know why it's not working even though you added them to the boot image. Is is vmWare or Hyper-V?
  20. Hey, go to Software Library. Select Software Update Groups, click on your SUG and select the Deployment tab at the bottom of the GUI. Right click the deployment you want to delete and click Delete. Piece of cake!
  21. Ok. Haven't had any issues with this myself until just now! Quite annoying. Perhaps someone else has a suggestion as to what to do? Google doesn't give me much.
