  1. Hi, It seems that you have an access denied error for your MDT Database. in the log files to start of with. It looks like there are no step that is executed in the TS that actually restarts the computer so the Apply image step is run in full is which is not supported = 0x00000032 Request is not supported Regards, Jörgen
  2. Hi, I would use apply driver package instead of Apply Drivers as you are using in the screenshot above, it shouldn't make a difference that the image was captured in Hyper-V anyway though. Are you using any WMI filter in the Task Sequence step above? Regards, jörgen
  3. Hi, In a mixed environment between SCCM 2007 and 2012 you should only used Boundary groups in SCCM 2012 configured for "Content Location" these boundaries are nog overlapping and cannot be read by the SCCM 2007 client. Make sure that you don't use an boundary groups with the setting "Use this boundary group for site assignment.", these boundary groups can conflict with a boundary in SCCM 2007. A boundary in SCCM 2012 is not published anyware, and is not really used or published until it is added to a boundary group. Regards, Jörgen
  4. Hi, If you run it on log off then you wouldn't need to inform the user? outlook will be shutdown anyway right? Regards, Jörgen
  5. Hi, I normally create a "Vanilla" software update group manually for all the operating systems when setting up my patch management so that all the historical updates that still apply is downloaded and deployed to all the clients that potentially could need them. Then after that create an ADR and automatically create a new software update group each month with the latest updates. Client will evaluate all updates that are deployed to them when they scan for updates so as long as the updates are still deployed, the clients will not miss them. Regards, Jörgen
  6. Hi, No there is no such possibility in the Application Model, and I agree it is the biggest feature missing in the application model. I normally use the PS APp deployment toolkit to prompt the user it is really nice! https://psappdeploytoolkit.codeplex.com/ Regards, Jörgen
  7. Hi, You have to do a backup/restore upgrade. It is not supported to do an in-place upgrade of the OS from 2008 r2 to Server 2012 r2 on a Primary Site server. Regards, Jörgen
  8. Hi, Configuraiton Manager 2012 sp1 CU3 is required for support of server 2012 so you need to start there, CU4 is realeased as well and the updates are cumulative so installing just CU4 will do it. Note that there are updates released for Endpoint Protection as well. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2907566/en-us this update, updates the SCEPInstall.exe on the Site server to a newer version as well.. Regards, Jörgen
  9. Hi, that is correct, the client will actually auto activate if the client can find the KMS server in the DNS as well so you should not have to do anything at all. Regards, Jörgen
  10. Hi, When using KMS you should not enter a Product key at all, the client will activate itself as well automatically when installed, you can activate it using the KMS server using the command described here:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff793406.aspx The KMS server key on the volume licensing site is to be used when installing the KMS server.. Regards, Jörgen
  11. Hi, Have you troubleshooted and reinstalled BITS as well? It looks like it is related to either IIS or BITS.
  12. Hi, Yes, here are two good posts on the topic.. http://www.ronnipedersen.com/2013/10/sccm-2012-r2-upgrade-checklistguide/ and http://www.deploymentresearch.com/Research/tabid/62/EntryId/117/A-Geeks-Guide-for-upgrading-to-ConfigMgr-2012-R2-and-MDT-2013.aspx if you combine both of these you should have a view of how the upgrade is made. Regards, Jörgen
  13. Hi. Are you using SCCM or any other tool to manage them? Regards, Jörgen
  14. Hi, Look in appdiscovery for more information about the detection rule. Regards, Jörgen
  15. Hi, Check the appdiscovery.log file it most likely means that it doesn't detect the previous version and therefor doesn't uninstall it. That is where I would start. Regards, Jörgen

    MDOP MBAM

Hi, I normally use the same script as I do for OSD deployment when deploying MBAM/bitlocker for computer after os deployment as you probably will have to modify the TPM Settings as well, then I use the same script for enabling Bitlocker using MBAM as during OSD as well. Have you set a GPO to force encryption on the Operating system drive? Regards, Jörgen
  17. Hi, As you say you cannot use that feautre to distribute the content when it is already distributed. I would select the Task Sequence in the console and then in the "References" tab in the bottom of the screen, you can see which packages are needed by the TS and then you can distribute them to the dp by selecting the package and distirbute it. Regards, Jörgen
  18. Hi, You need to install WSUS anyway on the site system and the configure it as you did above, then you need to import/export the WSUS database as well as the content. Here is a blog post explaining it: http://blogs.technet.com/b/aaronczechowski/archive/2008/11/11/configmgr-software-updates-on-an-isolated-network.aspx
  19. Hi, You should not install an additional MP on those sites. MP is selected randomly within the Site so all clients will select an MP in the list an use that. If you need an MP you should install a secondary site instead. Regards, Jörgen
  20. Hi, Use Apply Driver Package instead, works much much better. If that doesn't help try removing the drivers that didn't work anyway and deploy the machine again. Regards, Jörgen
  21. Hi, I would use the builtin powermanagement settings instead and have the computers go to sleep instead of turning them off, any open document is still there and the computer starts really fast. the power consumptions is really low as well. Regards, jörgen
  22. Hi, check out the "History of a task seqeunce deployment on a computer" it will give you a lot of information. Regards, Jörgen
  23. Hi, Yes, we have used it many times, just remember to remove it from the boundary group afterwards, however normally I use a Server OS instead to be able to support a larger number of clients. Regards, Jörgen
  24. Hi, The client needs to be installed in the full OS during OSD to be able to install all the application, step e.t.c. Could it be that the client is still in provisioningmode? http://blogs.technet.com/b/configurationmgr/archive/2012/10/23/support-tip-configmgr-2012-client-goes-to-provisioning-mode-after-running-the-ccmeval-task.aspx Regards, Jörgen
  25. Hi, Here is an example on how to do it http://www.potentengineer.com/using-powershell-to-set-osd-task-sequence-variables/ Regards, Jörgen
