  1. HI, What more site system roles do you have at site B? You should use a Secondary site with a SUP to get this working. When you configure the WSUS Server in Site B to be a SUP it will automatically synchronize with the primary site SUP. The client within the Secondary site servers boundary will automatically use the SUP at the Secondary site. However I would not use a SUP at the Site B because in SCCM 2007 the client doesn't download the updates from the SUP/WSUS they download them from the closest DP instead. The SUP/WSUS is only used by the clients to download the information about which updates are available for the WSUS client agent to scan for, the result is returned to the MP and then updates are deployed using SCCM. If you want the WSUS server in Site B to be a standalone WSUS server then it cannot synchronize with the SCCM 2007 site server SUP as it doesn't contain any updates. Regards, Jörgen
  2. Hi, It is a hotfix so it is not published through WSUS, so can either publish it yourself in the SUP using System Center Updates Publishers http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/systemcenter/bb741049.aspx Or you can deploy it as a package / Program instead. Regards, Jörgen
  3. Hi, Are there anything useful in the Application log in the Event Viewer?
  4. Hi, To create a an application with a deployment type "Script Installer" you have to select "Manually specify the application information", then you can select the "Script Installer" deployment type. For office Products you can use the setup.exe /admin to create a .msp file which can be used for deployment. http://www.migee.com/2010/12/08/office-2010-completely-silent-install-a-really-really-quick-rundown/ For Adobe Product I would check for information att for instance ITNinja.com on how to deploy them. Regards, Jörgen
  5. Hi, the error code translates to "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed" If you unistall the SCEP client first, does that help. Regards, Jörgen
  6. Hi, If you deploy around 100-200 Machines each week I would consider installing a WSUS server to mange them, How do you manage updates after the deployment, from Microsoft Update? You can use the install software updates script from MDT and use it standalone i SCCM 2007 and deploy the updates from internet directly. Check out this post by Chris Nackers on the topic:http://www.chrisnackers.com/2011/04/28/using-ztiwindowsupdate-wsf-to-install-updates-in-a-system-center-configuration-manager-task-sequence/ Regards, Jörgen
  7. Hi, If you want to publish the Site information in the Child domain you have to create the System management Container and delegate permisisons to it to the Site Server. Regards, Jörgen
  8. Hi, There is no log file on the DP you can however look in the IIS logs to Watch for incoming connecting. You can check on the client in Locationservices.log file wchich MP/DP the clients get assigned. According to TechNet approximatley 4'000 clients per DP, of course it depends on HW and network speed as well. regards, Jörgen
  9. Hi, You are accessing the SQL Reporting Services webservice and not the user interface, try accessing http://servername/reports then you should be fine. Regards, Jörgen
  10. Hi, I am Sorry to say that just that specific scenario are there no good solution for, so you will still need to use the same kind of script in ConfigMgr 2012. Regards, Jörgen
  11. Hi, Is it a Collection Query or a Query? If it is a Collection right-click it and select Update Collection Membership, if it is a Query simply run it again.
  12. Hi, No, it is a separate license which needs to be bought separatly, it is however included in the Core Cal License. It is also a separate Product FEP 2010 which needs to be downloaded snd installed separatly and then it integrates with SCCM 2007 Sp2 R2 or R3.
  13. Hi,Could you please provide us with a Little bit more information? a copy of the SMSTS.log file from a failed machine would make it easier helping you.
  14. Hi, It will work, however I would strongly recommond not to do it, as you will have more dependencies on one machine and of course depending on the number of users you could get performance issues as well.
  15. Hi,What command line are you using to uninstall Java Update 35, you should be able to use REBOOT=Suppress even for the uninstall command.
  16. Hi, You mean the builtin dialogs of SCCM? No it is not possible to modify them, What most people do is run a script/HTA to present other information to the end-user.
  17. Hi, Have you configured your boundaries? Are the clients included in the scope of a boundary? A boundary is needed to assign the clients to the site.
  18. Hi,There are no such feature builtin the SCCM Product the client checks for instance for a new computer policy per default once every 60 min, of course this can be tweaked but you should probably look at using DFS-R or something instead of SCCM as the time intervall is so often, or a simple script solution.
  19. Hi, As Peter writes you can deployments to a Collection that you like. You could also use a script in the task sequence to add the computer to all those Groups if you like to have it neat and tidy. http://ccmexec.com/2010/08/adding-computer-to-ad-groups-during-deployment/
  20. Hi,R3 is an feaure add-on so it doesn't matter as long as you are using SP2.
  21. Hi, There is no need to migrate the SCCM 2007 site to a x64 plattform before migrating to SCCM 2012. As there is no inplace upgrade available, you will need to use the Migration Connector and it doesn't matter if the SCCM 2007 site runs x86 or x64 SQl or OS
  22. Hi, SCCM just executes a command of your choosing, so yes you can.
  23. Hi,You can use a script like this:http://loguinfo.blogspot.se/2010/07/sccm-client-reassign-sitecode.html to use in a Group policy for instance to change site code. It can also be that you need to reinstall the client using the RESETKEYINFORMATION switch as you move the client to a new site with a new ceritifcate. When you say that your Collections are static, do you mean that you use direct membership, beacuse that will not be replicated down as the clients are not visible in your Child site.
  24. Hi,When deploying Windows 7 Ultimate you must enter a Product key, as Windows 7 ultimate doesn't support using a KMS..
